Intellectual property & data protection

The Intellectual Property team of CSFR Advogados advises and represents our clients in advisory and litigation matters. Among the legal services offered, there are:

Advice on contracts whose purpose are rights and obligations related to intellectual property, such as technology transfer, licensing and franchises;
Preparation and follow-up of application for copyright registration in the National Library and domestic (INPI) or international (via Madrid Protocol) trademark registration;
Representation in actions to repress unfair competition and for assignment of infringement of intellectual property rights;
Representation in actions on the validity of administrative acts issued by the Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI).

The Data Protection team of CSFR Advogados assists our clients in risk assessment and guidance on projects to review the processes of capturing personal information from their clients, patients and other users to comply with the LGPD. We work in the (i) mapping, training and risk assessment; (ii) description of data processing operations and preparation of regulatory and non-regulatory reports and (iii) redesign of communication, contracts and positioning in relation to privacy and data protection, including those considered sensitive.
