Eduardo Costa da Silva

Eduardo Costa da Silva works in the areas of Tax Planning and Litigation, Mediation, Arbitration, M&A and Regulatory. His experience in the legal field and technology and industrial management has also provided him with the necessary skills to lead teams in cases related to Digital Law and with innovative legal aspects such as ICOs, Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence. He has been a partner since 2003.

His career began in 1990 when, having recently graduated from vocational college, he began an internship in a company in the electronics sector located in the city of São Paulo. In the same year, he entered the Faculdade de Tecnologia de São Paulo – Faculty of Technology – (FATEC) to study Industrial Electronics, obtaining a diploma as a technologist in 1994. As a result of his active participation in the project for the first electronic ballot box in Brazil (1996), he was invited to work at a leading POS (point of sale) manufacturing company, an opportunity in which he developed skills in areas such as people management, R&D and banking technology.

Having decided to work in the legal area, with a special interest in Tax Law and New Technologies Law, he entered the Law School of Universidade de São Paulo in 1998, graduating in 2002. He has worked in private law since 2003, in which year he became a partner at the firm.

With a client base composed mostly of limited liability companies and corporations, in 2005 he completed an MBA in Corporate Finance, Capital Markets and Investor Relations at the Fundação Instituto de Pesquisa Contábeis, Actuariais e Financeiras – FIPECAFI, linked to Universidade de São Paulo. He has taught classes at Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP) and CEU Law School in the areas of Corporate Finance and Tax Law.

His knowledge of Law, Finance and Technology, as well as his business management skills, have led to numerous invitations to be on the Board of Directors or Executive Board of companies in the fields of Telecommunications, Internet of Things and Blockchain, as well as providing them with legal advice, together with the Costa da Silva & Fernandes Rocha Advogados team.
